Vasudevan Aghoramoorthy
Vice President, Semiconductor and System SolutionsWipro Technologies
Mr. Aghoramoorthy is the Vice President of the Semiconductor and Systems solutions (SnS) division of Wipro Technologies. In a career that spans more than twenty years, Mr. Aghoramoorthy has shaped Wipro’s evolution into a global provider of SoC and System design services, as well as Semiconductor IP.
Mr. Aghoramoorthy is a past Executive Committee member of the India Semiconductor Association (ISA) and continues to play an active role in ISA strategy and activities. Mr. Aghoramoorthy holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur.
Dermot Barry
Vice President Consumer SiliconSilicon & Software Systems Ltd.
Dermot Barry is S3's Vice President of the Consumer Silicon Business Unit. Dermot's role involves setting the strategic direction for S3’s System-on-Chip (SoC) design services business and the Mixed Signal IP product portfolio. He has full responsibility for global sales and operations and manages key strategic relationships, delivering successful solutions to clients such as NXP, TI, Micronas and Phonak amongst others. Prior to joining S3 Dermot worked as Research & Development Engineer for Philips Research in Eindhoven from 1985-1994. From 1994-1997 Dermot was VP of US Sales & Business Development at S3. Dermot joined Cadence Design Systems, from 1997-2000, as a Senior Sales Manager for Design Services in UK and Israel, again broadening his expertise and experience in the industry. Dermot re-joined S3 in 2000 as General Manager of the Wireless Systems Business Unit and was recently appointed as VP, Consumer Silicon. Dermot is well known in the industry and is a key member of S3's management team. Dermot graduated from University College Dublin in 1985 with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.).
Ron Burns

Ron serves as General Manager, Semiconductor and Systems Solutions. Ron's business career spans 20 years of Semiconductor, Electronic Design Automation, and Embedded Systems experience. Most recently, Ron served as VP, WW Sales Teja Technologies, a new venture focused on multicore embedded systems, recently sold to ARC. Prior to Teja, Ron was the VP-Marketing for Axis Systems, a technology leader in HW/SW Co-Verification Solutions.
Albert Chen
Field Application and Marketing ManagerFaraday Technology Corporation
Albert Chen, Field Applications and Marketing Manager, joined Faraday Technology in 2007, working with ASIC customers and helping them manage power. Previously, he was with Sun Microsystems from 2000 to 2003, working on enterprise servers. He holds an MBA and MS degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Davis and a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Joseph Greco
Vice President, VLSI EngineeringNVIDIA
Joe Greco is Vice President of VLSI Engineering at NVIDIA. Mr. Greco joined the company in September 1995. Prior to NVIDIA, Mr. Greco was a Design Manager at Media Vision, Inc. He also held mixed-signal design positions at Chips and Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Mr. Greco holds an M.S.E.E.C.S. degree from University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S.E.E. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Thomas Hartung
Vice President Sales & MarketingX FAB Group
Thomas Hartung, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries since the late 1990's leads the company’s worldwide sales and marketing activities. Hartung brings strong technical and marketing expertise to this position at X-FAB. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Hartung served as director of product marketing at Thesys Gesellschaft für Mikroelektronik mbH, where he earlier began his career as a process engineer. He holds a diploma in physics from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany.
Don Kurelich
Technical Director Americas SalesMentor Graphics
Don Kurelich is the Technical Director Americas Sales, responsible for technical programs and field application engineers throughout North and South America. Kurelich also manages executive relationships and product deployment for key accounts worldwide. He has over 20 years of design, management, consulting and sales experience with 5 years of international business/management experience while living abroad. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics in 1996, Mr. Kurelich worked in the telecommunications industry at NEC and Bosch Telecom and in the Military/Aerospace industry at Honeywell in their ASIC design and wafer fabrication facility in various ASIC and systems design roles. He holds a BSEE from George Mason University.
Jeff Lewis

Jeff Lewis joined ISi in January, 2006 as VP Marketing. Mr. Lewis brings over 20 years of experience in the IP and EDA industries. Prior to ISi, Mr. Lewis was President and CEO of CiraNova, Inc., an analog EDA company. Prior to CiraNova, Mr. Lewis held VP-level positions at FormFactor, Artisan Components (acquired by ARM), and Compass Design/VLSI Technology. Mr. Lewis is also currently a director at IPExtreme, an intellectual-property company specializing in silicon-proven cores. Mr. Lewis has BSEE, BA-Economics, and MBA degrees – all with Honors – from the University of California at Berkeley.
Bill Martin
General Manager, Verification IP DivisionMentor Graphics
He has over 25 years of experience in consulting, product design and project management. Bill joined Mentor in 2000 and has held senior roles in Mentor Consulting and IP. In addition to Mentor, Bill previously worked for Synopsys, VLSI Technology and Mostek. Martin holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana. He has been granted 5 patents.
Mario Morales
Vice President, Global Semiconductor and EMS ResearchIDC
Mario Morales is the vice president of IDC's Semiconductors research program. He is responsible for in-depth analysis, evaluation, forecasting, and research of major semiconductor applications areas such as computing, communications, and consumer. In addition, Mr. Morales is responsible for analyzing overall semiconductor and memory market trends.
Mr. Morales has more than eight years of experience in the semiconductor industry as a market, business, and strategic planning analyst. His career includes past positions with NEC Electronics and Dataquest Inc. His work covered areas such as short-term and midterm strategic planning (one to five years), market sizing, customer/competitor analysis, memory supply/demand trends, and capacity and pricing trends. In addition, he has built and maintained relationships with members of the press at major semiconductor-related print media (including EBN, EN, Electronics Components and newspapers such as The New York Times, IBD, and others) and with executives and planning managers at several semiconductor manufacturers and OEMs.
Mr. Morales earned a B.S. degree in business administration (finance) at San Jose State University.
Richard Owen
Group DirectorCadence Design Systems
Richard Owen is a Group Director at Cadence Design Systems responsible for the development and deployment of front end flows and technologies. Rich is actively involved in the development of new power management technologies, including early estimation and power exploration. Rich has expertise in a number of areas, spanning from verification through to place and route. Rich is actively involved in the development of new power technology, including early accurate estimation and power space exploration. Prior to joining Cadence, Rich spent 16 years in chip design, holding a number positions including system architect, chip lead, and design lead. At Tality, Rich developed a high performance architecture to support an advanced communications device. At Appian Graphics and at Cirrus Logic, Rich was responsible for the design of high performance graphics chips. At Boeing, Rich worked on a number of successful chip projects, primarily for military programs. Rich holds eight US Patents, and received his BSEE from the University of Washington in 1985.
Vivian Pangburn

Vivian Pangburn is the vice president of global marketing. She directs and oversees the organization's strategic planning and implementation of the Alliance's marketing initiatives and global events. She is responsible for solidifying GSA’s brand and presence within the global semiconductor industry. Pangburn plays an integral role in GSA initiatives to communicate market intelligence/data and manages the communication and distribution of educational tools and resources to its members and the industry. She directs the Alliance's worldwide events focused on highlighting industry issues, challenges and opportunities. Pangburn is responsible for the direction of GSA’s integrated public relations activities, resulting in a substantial expansion of the Alliance's reach in technology and business media. Under her leadership, the GSA member base has grown to include members in over 25 countries. Additionally, Pangburn coordinates the efforts of the GSA leadership groups including its Board of Directors, CEO Councils and VC Advisory Council. Pangburn has over 25 years of experience in marketing and management and earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Herb Reiter

Herb Reiter founded eda 2 asic Consulting in spring of 2002 to increase cooperation between these two market segments. In the last seven years Herb introduced many EDA, IP and other solutions to reduce IC design time, power dissipation and unit cost to semiconductor vendors. Previously Herb worked for 5 years in business development roles at Barcelona Design, Synopsys and Viewlogic. The PrimeTime sign-off wave and the TSMC reference flow # 1 are highlights of Herb's accomplishments at Synopsys. From 1980 to 1997 Herb worked in both business and technical roles at VLSI Technology and National Semiconductor to market ASICs and ASSPs. Herb earned an MBA at San Jose State University and Master Degrees in Business and in Electrical Engineering at the University and at the Technical College in Linz/Austria, respectively.
Steven Slupsky
Co-founder, President and Chief Executive OfficerScanimetrics
Steven Slupsky co-founded Scanimetrics with Brian Moore and is one of the visionaries driving the company. He is actively involved in many aspects of Scanimetrics including technology development, intellectual property management, business development and marketing.
Slupsky has worked in the semiconductor, advanced microelectronics and embedded systems design fields for 20 years. He served as entrepreneur, design engineer and architect, and later held leadership and management roles on many advanced technology projects. As one of the main inventors for Scanimetrics technologies, Slupsky has patented several wireless techniques for wafer-level semiconductor testing.
Prior to joining Scanimetrics, Slupsky was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at AMC Technologies and also served as Vice president at Micralyne, Inc. He holds Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
Lisa Tafoya
Vice President, Global ResearchGlobal Semiconductor Alliance (GSA)
Lisa Tafoya is the vice president of global research for GSA. Tafoya is responsible for GSA's market intelligence, surveys and publications, and serves as executive editor of GSA Forum, the premier industry journal exclusively targeting fabless, IDM and outsourcing markets. She also manages all GSA subcommittees which address industry challenges with solutions-based deliverables such as standards, quality checklists and guidelines. Tafoya has spent 15 years in market research, consulting, project management and marketing communications. She earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Southern Methodist University.
Joep van Beurden
Chief Executive OfficerCSR
Mr. van Beurden was appointed Chief Executive Officer of CSR on 1 November 2007. Mr. van Beurden has over ten years of experience in managing technology companies in the US and Europe. For the three years prior to joining CSR, he was Chief Executive of NexWave Inc., a provider of embedded software solutions for the consumer electronics market based in France.
Before joining NexWave, Mr. van Beurden held senior positions at Canesta Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, and Philips Components. Whilst at Philips, he was part of the executive team which established a successful consumer electronics joint venture with LGE. Prior to that, Mr van Beurden worked for five years for management and strategy consultants McKinsey & Company. Mr van Beurden has also worked as a crude oil trader for Royal Dutch Shell in Rotterdam and lectured in Physics and Electronics at the University of Zambia.
Mr. van Beurden holds a Masters degree in Applied Physics from Twente University of Technology in Enschede, the Netherlands.
